Connect Search Console and Analytics
Real clicks from Google Search Console and real sessions from GA4, beside the modelled figures.
Rankings and traffic estimates are modelled. Search Console and Google Analytics are measured: what Google and the client's own site actually recorded. Connect both, and the client's pages show them side by side, each labelled.
Both connections are made under Client settings and need the client's site to be on record. Seolyticize asks Google for read-only access.
Search Console
- Connect
In Client settings → Search Console, choose Connect Search Console and sign in with a Google account that has access to the client's property.
- Wait for the first pull
Search Console data is pulled every day. The connection shows when it last synced, or the error if a sync failed.
The Search Console page then shows each engine's own numbers — never added together — with the queries bringing traffic over the last 28 days, and breakdowns by query, page, country and device. Connecting a property also gives Content health real click data for finding pages that are losing traffic.
Or without signing in: the agency's service account
If the client would rather not sign in through Seolyticize — or someone else owns their Google account — connect by service account instead. Your agency has its own Google service account, an email address ending in iam.gserviceaccount.com, shown under Client settings → Search Console → Or connect without signing in. It is yours alone; no other agency's clients can grant it.
- The owner adds the address
In Search Console, the property's owner opens Settings → Users and permissions → Add user, enters the address and chooses Restricted (read-only).
- Connect
Choose Connect by service account. Seolyticize checks with Google that it can read the property, and connects it. Leave the property blank to have the client's site tried as a Domain property, then as
https://andhttps://www.properties.
A service account connection never expires and doesn't break when the person who connected it leaves the client. To end it, the owner removes the address in Search Console.
Sitemap management (submitting and deleting sitemaps) needs Google's full Search Console permission, which can also change the property. It's asked for only there; the read-only connection is left as granted.
Other engines: Bing (through your Bing Webmaster Tools key) and Yandex Webmaster are connected separately and shown under their own names. Yandex can be connected by signing in, or by pasting a token: under Client settings → Yandex Webmaster, follow the four steps shown to make a token in a small Yandex app of your own (permission webmaster:hostinfo) and paste it. A token lasts about a year; paste a new one when the connection says it has stopped working. Baidu link push submits links to Baidu, which is Baidu's only site-owner API.
Google Analytics (GA4)
- Find the property id
In GA4, the property id is a number such as
123456789— not the measurement id (G-…), which addresses a data stream. - Connect
In Client settings → Analytics, enter the GA4 property id and choose Connect Analytics.
The Analytics page reads GA4 live: the last 28 complete days against the 28 before — sessions by day, key events, revenue by landing page split by channel (so ads never flatter organic), and Pages worth an edit first. Totals won't match GA4's own interface exactly; each figure comes from the GA4 Data API.
GA4 without signing in
The same agency service account works for GA4. The property's owner opens Admin → Property access management → Add users, enters the address with the Viewer role; then, with the property id entered, choose Connect by service account.
