Lets the crawler into a staging or password-protected site: HTTP basic auth (username and password), custom request headers (e.g. a bypass token for a firewall, up to 10) and cookies ('name=value; other=value'). Replaces whatever was set; clear: true removes it all. Stored encrypted, sent only to the client's own domain (never to a redirect elsewhere or a third-party script), and never shown again — get_crawl_settings lists only the username and header and cookie names. Answers 'audit our staging site' and 'crawl behind the login'. Free.

Parameters

Idempotency-Keystringheader
Any unique string, up to 200 characters. A retry with the same key and body is answered from the first answer (Idempotent-Replayed: true) for a day, so it never buys or writes twice; the same key with another body is refused.
